Gears Leaderboards Launched

If playing ranked matches on Xbox LIVE® is your thing, and you love showing off your skills, then this is your chance to show your friends who the top dog really is. Not only are your ranked Gears of War wins and losses visible to other members of Xbox LIVE, now they'll also be on the web via the online Gears leaderboard.

If you’re an online gaming pro, you know the score: The highest scores in games of Assassination, Execution, and Warzone will be shown separately. Stats will be tracked by the week, almost up to the very minute. Who's on top right now? Just check in with the leaderboards to find out. Or, if you just want to throw down with your friends, click the "Me and My Friends" tab on the leaderboards page to size up your buddies and find out where you stand.

If a simple ranking and score doesn't seem like enough, there's still more. The system tracks kills and deaths, but also gives you the hardcore facts like how many headshots you've made, and the number of opponents you've mercilessly curb-stomped or ground into kibble with your chainsaw. Are you a pro at tagging your enemies with grenades? The leaderboards will back up your claims of excellence. Just click on any player's name in the rankings to get a detailed account of their chosen methods of mass mayhem.

It’s easy: to see your personal stats on the web, all you need to do is log into the Gears of War Community website with the same Windows Live™ ID ("Passport") account that your Xbox LIVE gamer tag is tied to.
