  1. Introduce yourself to the Gears community – who are you, where are you from, and when did you start playing Gears of War?

I have always been a gamer... I remember playing Mario Bros everyday in my tighty whities when I was little, and growing up playing sooo many other games (Not in my tighty whities). Than, I saw the Gears of War Mad World trailer back in early 2006, before the trailer was over I was at my local gameshop pre-ordering the game. I have been hooked ever since, and have been playing pretty much non stop with every new release, and it's just gotten better each time!  I stumbled onto the Gears Forums back in early 2009, and fell in love with the community, and started hosting events, tournaments, giveaways in late 2009. I've had the honor to be able to host and stream events with the developers of Gears of War 3 and just really grow with the community into what is it today.

  2. What was your funniest Gears moment?

From all of the events over the years there is no way for me just to pick one, and there has been hundreds of times where I either die laughing out of my chair, or end up spitting my drink all over my monitor.

Well... I remember recently... I was live streaming some Gears of War 3 Horde, it was on Gridlock, and was playing with a few members of the community. Someone was stuck between the Silverback and the corner where the hammerburst are is on Gridlock. we were all there laughing at him cause he was stuck, and there was a Lambent Drudge coming around the corner one person ran past the Drudge, turned around, and chainsawed/kicked it into the group of us and kill us all and destroyed the Silverback.  I think we didn't stop laughing for like ten minutes.

  3. What is about Gears of War that makes you want to give back to the community?

Well I would have to say back in 2009 when Hooligan was hosting GearsCon events on the Gears Forums, I joined in on my first community themed event, and fell in love with wanting to do this exact thing. Just being able to get together as a community and play as one is an amazing feeling. Gears of War also has a unique connection about it, I can't really explain it, and I cannot recreate it with any other game.  I really just love to help the community in anyway possible and with these community events I host, and get to hear people's reaction in game or after the event, it's like nothing I can explain. I truly love just being around people, and the Gears community.

  4. Tell everyone a little bit about the community events and activities you do?

Currently I am hosting and streaming the Reaper Festival with the other assigned Reapers on Gears of War Judgment. Called Reaper Festival, it's a monthly planned event where the community can play against the reapers in a open lobby and they try to kill the Reapers in the lobby. We've had people join in the event from all over the world, and we're up to our 40th event happening September 12th on the Gears of War Forums.

I also got stuff brewing with  Gears of War Ultimate Edition! Details soon.

  5. What is your Gears collection like at home?

Well we're a Gears Family in the house so three Xbox 360's and Xbox One's all have each Gears game.

Collect all of the books and comic books.

Have almost all of the collectible figurines.

We're truly a Gears Family in the house and  do play together all the time on Gears 3 Horde or running through the Gears campaign together.

  6. What is your favorite Gears of War game (thus far, of course), and why?

That's really hard to answer....  How can I answer that?  The story of Gears of War has really taken me for a wild ride over the years and the multiplayer just straps you in, and you don't want to let go!

If I would  have to pick one.... I would have to say Gears of War 1. It's where it all started for me, and I just have this memory of when I performed my first chainsaw execution, my heart was pounding, my palms were sweaty, and I could hardly stay in my chair! I knew right then and there, I was hooked!

  7. What do you think of Gears of War Ultimate Edition so far?

Really enjoying it!  Amazing graphics, and the campaign brought me back to 2006 all over again as if I was playing it for the first time, and falling in love with it all over again. The multiplayer is a huge improvement, and I don't think you could of done any better! Absolutely love it!

  8. What do you want to see for the future of Gears of War?

Well I can't be more excited for Gears to becoming a part of ESL, and taking it more to the competitive scene. It's really great and much needed for the franchise. I just hope they don't forget about the casual players of Gears with community themed events, tournaments, etc, etc..

Really feel having that balance for the competive and casual players would bring the community together and more connected than ever before.

  9. Any final words, shout outs, or comments?

Would like to say thank you to Epic Games & The Coalition for the support over the years! My amazing Reaper Festival Reapers and to the community you've become a part of my life and truly love getting together with everyone, just having a good time, and making unforgettable memories.

Thank you and take care, much love!
